Latest cushions

Hi everyone!
I haven't been doing many cushions lately. The pair of cushions below have been ordered specially for our 'first lady'.

The fabric is from silk and I really hope that she will like my choice of the overall color combination .

Design on one cushion is a mirror image of the other

This cushion is for 'someone special' on a coming event next weekend.I cannot decide which to give her;design 2 or design 3 below.What do you girls think?2 or 3?

Colors are more vibrant.Looks brighter and more cheerful, isn't it?

Hopefully, I'll be doing more cushions later on.At the moment, my hands are full with other orders.ANYBODY WILLING TO HELP ME OUT?hehe

Ribbon Embroidery on TUDUNG in MAJALAH 'NUR' April 2009

CREATIVE WORKSHOP IN SHAH ALAM

These pictures are taken during 'The Creative Workshop' carnival organised by MBSA(Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam) in Section 7, Shah Alam.I was invited to demonstrate my work there.
The other participants includes, folk artist, a florist, costume jewellery artist and products from recycled newspapers under NGO-Mawaddah(organisation for single mothers)

Pictures during Gerak Usahawan at PWTC

Only manage to post the pictures after nearly a month since the event!I have been very very busy lately.Not many pictures , just taken using kakak's handphone since we didn't bring our 'NACHO' along.

Lucky for me, my 3 girls tagged along and they've been very helpful helping me out with the crowd.

'll be at PWTC this Friday 6th-Sunday 8th for the event 'Gerak Usahawan Nasional 2009.I'm sharing a booth there with Sheila Wahid from Nicecraft2U/Creative Homebiz.

ROMANTIC HEART COLLECTION-heart cushions

Hi everyone!
This heart pillow is the final item in 'My Romantic heart Collection' series.

Other items that I have made previously in this collection are:
1)heart buntings
2)heart boxes
3)heart wall-hangings

The designs are endless,so many designs that I can think of but not being able to work on to!
It's supposed to be 'romantic', so the color theme that I have chosen here is white, pink and blue and the ribbon colors are soft pastel shades of pinks for the roses with splashes of other soft colors of blue, purple , yellow and also pastel shades of threads too.

2008 has been a good year for me .Through my embroidery work, I have gain many customers and students and many have become my close friends eversince!

I take this oppurtunity to thank all my dearest customers for the support that have been given to me throughout the year 2008 and the previous years.

I deeply apologised to my customers who still haven't received their orders and who are still patiently waiting . Thank you very much for your patience, dear friends!

For the year 2009-I plan to concentrate more on wholesale orders and also to guide my students through my online tutorial blog.I will introduce more project kits and make them available through my 'not so active' website: www.umirose.com

Heart-wall hanging-new version

Hi everyone!I guess everyone is still enjoying her year end holidays!

Here is my new version of heart wall hangings recently made for my customers.

This one is for my long awaited customer in Kuantan- supposed to be a design from one of the Royal Albert collection-I still wonder whether my version works!

These 2 are without tassel-specially for my long distance customer,more of the same hearts for her -still in progress.

Hanging Teapots

Here are two of my latest creations-Hanging teapots.

U can hang in 2's or as a single.The ribbon for tying is 1 meter long

First Ribbon Embroidery kit:Spray of daisies on a plaque

My first project kit is out!The price for each kit is RM45.00 including the cost of poslaju.

What's in the kit?
1) Fabric required with embroidery design traced on it.
2)2 mounting board for front and back finishing.
3)Complete direction on the embroidery design as well as how to do the finishing(to make the plaque)
4) More pictures will be e-mailed after the kit is purchased.
5)Chenille needle #20 and crewel #9 for all the embroider work

Different cushions of the same design

This is the first cushion that I did using this design.Mind you,sometimes it takes me weeks to make the design . Choosing the right color of ribbons and threads is another tough decision to make !

The cushion is light green and measures 16" x 16".



I used a multicolor sewing thread from SULKY forthe lattice work in the center of the design.Matching multicolored beads are then added .
The second version is a round 14" in diameter.I change the color of the roses , the lattice design at the center is stitched using pink multicolored embroidery floss from DMC.
The fabric is from cotton damask.I have a tough time doing the double frills since the fabric is thick.Instead of the normal sewing thread, I had to use the thread normally used for sewing denim/jeans!





The third version of this design is a pair of beige square cushions ordered by a customer for her wedding.


I didn't add the beads here,istead tiny french knots of the same thread are stitched.
